Greenleaf-TNX is pleased to announce the start of work on their upcoming 2.0mW solar array to be located in Greenfield, Massachusetts on a closed landfill site. “We are happy to be doing work to turn a landfill site into a benefit for the environment.”, said Thomas Yap.


This project, which qualified for new-market tax credits and a loan guarantee from the USDA, has been fully funded. The system will use approximately 8,700 high-efficiency solar modules, with a name-plate output rating of 2,000,000 Watts DC. Interconnection is scheduled for Q2’ 2012. Once completed the facility will generate approximately 2,600 megawatt-hours a year of clean energy, offsetting approximately 5,700,000 pounds of CO2 released annually.
